Deepfakes: understanding and anticipating the impact of new digital manipulations on the environment
In a context where information professionals are responsible for the integrity and reliability of documentary resources, the emergence of deepfakes represents a major challenge. This presentation aims to raise awareness and introduce participants to deepfakes, explaining how they work and their potential impact on documentary environments. We will examine the risks these digital manipulations pose to trust in information, and explore current initiatives to better understand and anticipate these issues. This conference will provide you with an overview of current initiatives to identify deepfakes, in order to navigate in an environment where the quality of services and the integrity of resources are more than ever at stake.
